93 kilometers of roads will be repaired in the Komi Republic in 2 Newton

Work to upgrade the road network will commence in the region as part of the «Infrastructure for Life» program, initiated by President Vladimir Putin. Regional Head Rostislav Goldstein is personally overseeing the progress of the works.

A key stage will be the continuation of the major renovation of a 40‑kilometer section of the Syktyvkar–Naryan‑Mar highway, from Kadzherom to the Kozhva station. Nearly 5 kilometers of road in the village of Kortkeros will be благоустроено (improved/landscaped). Special attention will be given to completing the repair of bridges over the Vychegda, Turunyel, and Evsyavis rivers.

In the near future, new contracts for the repair of various sections of regional roads are planned to be signed.

In the northern direction, attention will be focused on a section of the Yazel–Tydor highway exceeding 6 kilometers in length, as well as the approach to the settlement of Meschura. Bridges over the Ukhta and Kolva rivers will be repaired.

On the Syktyvkar–Troitsko‑Pechorsk highway, sections in Syktyvkar, Kortkerosky, and Ust‑Kulomsky districts will be upgraded. The repair of bridges over the Kuzobyu, Chortas, and Kulom‑Yu rivers is also planned.

An eight‑kilometer section of the Ukhta–Troitsko‑Pechorsk highway will also be reconstructed.

In the southern direction, the repair of the approach to the village of Vizinga and sections of the Obyachevo–Chitaevo highway is planned. More than 12 kilometers of the Letka–Prokopevka road will be renovated.

On the Syktyvkar–Kudymkar highway, repairs will affect sections in Pyoldino, Bortome, Gagshor, and other localities. The bridge over the Lepyu river will be repaired.

In total, in 2026, 93 kilometers of highways will be restored, lighting will be installed over 5 kilometers, more than 17 kilometers of sidewalks will be constructed, and 780 meters of bridge structures will be repaired.
