In the Komi Republic, prices for several essential food products have risen again over the past week
According to the latest data from Komistat, the cost of several products has changed in the region’s stores. Semi‑smoked and cooked‑smoked sausages have become more expensive by 4,5%, and cookies by 2,6%.
There has also been an increase in prices for sausages, сардельки (a type of sausage), and vermicelli, which have risen by 2,3% and 2,1%, respectively. Bakery products made from wheat flour have become more expensive by 2%, while chicken has gone up by 1,3%.
In addition, some products have become more affordable. For instance, the price of various types of cheese has decreased by 2,9%, while wheat flour and buckwheat groats have fallen in price by 2,3% and 1,5%, respectively.
The fruit and vegetable market has seen a significant price hike for cucumbers, whose cost has increased by 17,4%. Potatoes, cabbage, beetroot, and carrots have also shown a slight increase (2,2%, 1,5%, 1,4%, and 1,1%, respectively). At the same time, bananas have become cheaper by 3,3%.
Among medicinal drugs, there has been a decrease in prices for Rengalin, Validol, and Naphazoline (by 1,3%, 1,3%, and 1,2%, respectively).
In the category of essential non‑food items, there has been a recorded decrease in the cost of baby diapers (by 1,9%).
Various non‑food items have increased in price: electric vacuum cleaners and televisions have gone up by 2,4%, shampoos by 1,1%, and smartphones by 1%. Meanwhile, sports suits for school‑age children have become cheaper by 1,3%.
The cost of diesel fuel has increased by 0,4%, while automobile gasoline has become cheaper by the same amount.
Changes have also affected the services sector: staying in a two‑star hotel has become more expensive by 1,7%, and having a tooth restored with a filling has gone up by 1,3%.
